Step 1: Highlights
At home highlights can be tricky to get a seamless blend, plus regrowth can look choppy and harsh. Guess what? Colourists get demarcation lines too! And their secret weapon... A root smudge.

HIGHLIGHTS TECHNIQUE
-Thoroughly detangle your hair and apply the highlighting cap.
-Pull through the sections you want to lighten.
-Mix the High Lift Powder Bleach with Maximum Peroxide and apply following the kit instructions.
-Leave to develop according to your strand test.
-Rinse and remove the cap.

Step 2: Root SMUDGE
-Towel dry & detangle hair then set in your natural parting.
-Mix the SMUDGE colour and developer in the bottle provided.
-Squeeze a line of product along your parting.
-Using the tint brush side of the applicator, tap the colour from your scalp to where your highlights begin.
-Flip the applicator and comb through from roots to ends in one smooth sweep for a seamless blend.
-Continue section by section until all roots are covered.
-Leave to develop and rinse.
You can follow this step with a toner of your choice.
