We’re revealing the secrets you need to know to achieve that flawless, natural-looking salon-worthy balayage look with expert tips and step-by-step guidance!
Always perform a strand test prior to lightening your hair to determine your unique developing time.
STEP 1
MIX FORMULA
In the provided tray, combine the contents of the bleach powder sachet and cream peroxide included in your kit. Mix well until you achieve a smooth, even paste.
Tip: Wear protective clothing and the gloves provided in your kit to protect skin-barrier from any spills or splashes.
STEP 2
ISOLATE STRANDS
Apply on the highlighting cap and use the provided hook tool to pull sections of hair through. For a brighter blonde, pull hair through every hole; for a softer look, use every other hole.
Tip: Ask a friend or use mirrors to make sure you get those hard-to-see spots.
STEP 3
BACKCOMB HAIR
Gently backcomb small sections of the isolated hair with a fine-tooth comb to create a softer, more blended highlight effect. This technique helps to diffuse the bleach, resulting in a natural, seamless salon-worthy blend.
STEP 4
APPLY & DEVELOP
Using the provided brush, thoroughly saturate the hair with the formula, making sure the isolated hair is evenly coated for a consistent lift.
Use your fingers to smudge the bleach towards the darker hair to create a soft, blended look.
Apply the provided development cap and leave to develop for no longer than 90 minutes for maximum lift. Check in every 20 minutes to ensure you are lifting to your desired colour. Rinse out thoroughly when lift is achieved.
STEP 5
