How to Protect Your Hair Colour
Take a Break
Just after colouring your hair, wait at least 48 hours to shampoo your hair, or even longer if you can manage. This gives time for the colour to set into your hair. If you’re hair gets greasy quite easily, we recommend that you use some dry shampoo for that freshly washed feel.
Not Too Hot
When you do start washing your hair after dyeing it, make sure that the water is at a lukewarm temperature. When you use really hot water to wash your hair it opens the follicles and the dye will come out faster. Using cooler water will prolong the colour of your hair.
Keep it Conditioned
When you are washing your coloured hair, be sure to use conditioner each time as well. Our Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner are formulated with Colour Protect complex to help prevent fading and is suitable for all shades of coloured hair. Even if you have fine hair, just use the conditioner on the ends as these are usually the most dry and damaged.
Sulphates are foaming agents that you typically find in shampoos. When you have coloured hair, you can find that shampoos that are formulated with sulphates can strip away your colour, making it look dull and faded. Our Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner are sulphate-free, ensuring that it keeps your hair looking vibrant and healthy.
